I’ve made my living over the years as an oil and gas lease buyer, a property manager, a minister, a high school English teacher, and — currently — as the manager of my wife’s medical practice. But I’ve always been a writer.
My writings have appeared in many forms throughout my life: songs, poetry, short stories, newspaper columns, magazine articles, college papers. This blog forum gives me the chance to compile them all into one place.
I’ve lived with most of these stories for a long time. Over the years I’ve experimented with many different styles of writing, as you’ll learn by reading more than one of the listed short stories. Some are a bit serious, others are just for fun.
It’s not my intention to try to change the world with my little offerings. I do hope to entertain you and hopefully make you think a bit on some of the subject matter. Feel free to leave comments.
Greetings Pete. I remember a fun story from the 70’s about a duck hunt near Lake Misere in which you were a major character. Send me an email for the full length tale. – Warren Villar
I’m intrigued, Warren. I’ll email you.

Thanks for the comment, Elaine. I’m glad you liked the story.
