One More Year

Tomorrow (May 28, 2017) is my 34th wedding anniversary. This one’s for my wife, Tina, to say “thank you” for sharing her life with me.

One more year has come and gone
One more trip around the sun
And when all is said and done
I’m still in love with you

You could claim it’s been ideal
I could say it’s all been easy
But the life we share is real
And love is what we choose

A tapestry of love is woven
From threads of trust and fear
And as we watch the image sharpen
I’ll still ask for one more year

So much of life we’ve walked together
The path that’s brought us here
But when our sunsets fade to darkness
I’ll still ask for one more year

A brand new circle just begun
We can’t know what lies ahead
But one thing you can count on
I’m still in love with you
